I AM A BOOMERANG
I am a boomerang is an exhibition planned with one aim: to destabilize our view of reality, and the certainty of our interpretations as a way of challenging the conventions with which we live. This exhibition is an anthological narrative that embraces and crosses different moments within my practice. I am interested in playing with time, context, and reality and want to engage the viewer in a critical dialogue that bridges our history with our present.
In this light I address politics with a poetic gaze and look to upset the ontological frame of how we decipher reality. I embrace the freedom to think in contradictory ways, to play devil’s advocate with myself, and to reinvent myself, while inviting my viewers to reimagine and reconsider their own perceptions.
